And chances are you'll drown. Link & blockquote via ubasics.com...
Ever wondered where you would end up if you started digging straight down. Now we have the answer! Most of the planet is covered in water, so most diggers will dig into some ocean or another. What little land there is is generally not opposite other land. Some of South America and Asia, for instance, are opposite each other, but most Americans will swim in the Indian Ocean.

Saw Fan Fang on Wealth TV last night. Apparently, he broke the Guinness record (his thirteenth) after putting 34 people into a single bubble (not as visually impressive as it sounds, but at this point, I wanted to see what else this guy can do). Turns out, Fang has got himself an Off Broadway Stage Spectacular running through Sept. 2. The Off Broadway price isn't so spectacular. But if any of you get a chance to see it, I'd like to hear what you have to say...

Daniel said he got the idea for the GPS shoes after his eight-year-old son in 2002 was mistakenly listed as missing from school.

"After that incident I began doing research on missing children and I found that this happens mainly with children ages eight, nine, 10 and teens," Daniel, who is based in Miami, Florida, told AFP. "I just kept going with the research until I found a solution."

The solution was a line of men's and women's sneakers in 19 color combinations outfitted with a GPS chip that communicates with four international satellites.

In the event of trouble the wearer can activate the chip by pressing a button on the sneaker for at least six seconds. The emergency signal is then transmitted to a 24-monitoring service that costs 20 dollars a month.

Daniel said once the alarm is raised the monitoring service notifies authorities.

With more than a billion people now sharing just 100 surnames, Chinese authorities are considering a landmark move to try to end the confusion, state media reported Tuesday.

Current Chinese law states that children are only allowed take the surname from either their mother or father, but the lack of variety means there are now 93 million people in China with the family name Wang.

Actually, my Nana did (or, at least until I was old enough to go to school). But not a morning went by without the two of us tuning into a showcase showdown. Thanks for the memories, Bob...
Blowing kisses to the camera, Bob Barker signed off on 35 years on "The Price Is Right" and 50 years in daytime TV in the same low-key, genial fashion that made him one of daytime TV's biggest stars.

Barker, who had said before the taping on Wednesday of his final appearance that he would try to act as if it was "just another show," stuck to that promise. He ended the program as he always has, signing off with the words: "Help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered. Goodbye everybody."
