Sounds like this mashup's auteur, Shakes McFadden, could use a day off of his own. Link & blockquote via BENJI Films...
When I first posted this, I was going to write why it is the length it is, but figured it did not matter. now, after so many people feel the need to let me know how they feel about the 4 mins+ trailer, I have decided to share the reasons why it is the way it is.
Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem accepting criticism, I welcome it, but since I have a reason for this particular one, I figured I would post it. To quote Dr. Frankenfurter in RHPS when first showing off Rocky and met with Janet stating he was not her type of guy:"I didn't make him for you!".
The trailer was not edited down to 2 or 3 minutes, because it was the perfect length for my target audience: me.

Ok. It's definitely been done before. But, as far as I am concerned, not to this level of detail (sampling textures from the likes of Steven W. Bailey, Rush Limbaugh, some dude who looks awfully familiar but I just can't place right now, Steve Mariucci, and Terry O'Quinn). Skinny via Pixeloo. Blockquote via Holy Taco.
I’d like to thank the weirdo computer robot nerd genius that made this. You’ve somehow managed to horrify me and turn me on at the same time. I think I have a new fetish.

W.G.T., much like Nasa's Clickworks project, is an exercise in crowd sourcing. Interested users can donate small bits of time by analyzing single frames within a much larger video (in this case the first televised performance of the Moonwalk). This enables the production of information that otherwise would be prohibitively labor intensive. Working under the principal that useful data can be gathered by asking internet users to perform "...tasks that require human perception and common sense, but may not require a lot of scientific training."

Turn back the clock 20 years and this could have been one helluva propaganda piece for the writer's strike. See also Garfield minus Garfield.

Supposed leaked phone conversation between a Panamanian sales rep and US customer.
This is not a fake call. It has been truncated, but I assure you, it is real. I have the full call saved (it is more than two years old). This customer got a very nice computer for his troubles. The call was played on an Austin radio station when it first was leaked. The rep in question was fired as well. This call was VERY famous at Dell back when it happened...
