So true.
The old SST days of Raymond Pettibon scrawling concert posters for Sonic Youth, Black Flag, and the Minutemen are long gone. As are the days of Coop and others doing their colorful mini-masterpieces. Which is why this poster of Lindsay Lohan in an alley is not just brutal, and funny, but a return to biting social commentary in rock posters. - vango

If everyone spent a minute or two watching Dogpile's real-time list of unfiltered search terms, we might see even more red states in '08. Google fanboys and girls, see Google Hot Trends...

The airport is famous for its short runway — at only 2,433 metres (7,980 ft),[9] it is barely long enough for heavy jets to land. Therefore, incoming airplanes approaching the island on short final for Runway 10 have to fly extremely low, passing only 10-20 meters (30-60 ft.) over relaxing tourists on Maho Beach. Pictures of low flying aircraft were published in several news magazines worldwide in the early 2000 and looked so unreal that some were even disputed as fakes. The thrilling approaches and ease of access for shooting spectacular images made the airport one of the world favorites place among planespotters. To meet international and local regulations a 150 meter safety extension was required.

Hint #1: Some like 'em hard!
Hint #2: You can find the best ones in Italy.
Hint #3: Hide them if you can, slap them if you will.

Give up?

Last night, Max (the family mutt) decided to turn on the afterburners while giving chase to a deer in the neighbors yard. This morning, I had to lift his uninsured, 100 lbs. ass up and down the steps leading to the backyard so that he could take his morning wiz.

It's been a little more than a year and a half since Max first went under the knife at GSV for a torn ACL (trust me, it can happen). Now without an x-ray to confirm our worst nightmare, the wife would say 'I'm obsessing'. But having dished out 3K the first go around, I would say otherwise.

A couple weeks ago, I saw this rent-a-pet concept on the evening news. The idea seemed so absurd that I actually Googled it the following morning expecting a 404. That was then. This is now.

There’s something compelling about this photo—some gleaming twinkle of the indomitable human spirit. Something that says: I don’t like to use my voice in conjunction with eye contact—instead I will beshit your counter with my catsup words and mustard underscores of emphasis, good day!

I think it is fair to say what Edison was to the electric light bulb, the Japanese are to the television game show. See also, Ichiro Versus (but you might want to read this first)...
